What is gifting?
Gifting allows eligible players to purchase and send either a cash gift or select draw-based game gifts to another eligible adult.
Where can I view my gifts?
You can review sent and received gifts in Gift History: https://www.michiganlottery.com/?neodl=gifthistory
How can I send a gift?
You can send a gift through the My Account section: https://www.michiganlottery.com/?neodl=myaccount
From there, open the Gift Center to create and send your gift.
How does someone accept a gift?
A gift can be accepted in the Gift Center within My Account: https://www.michiganlottery.com/?neodl=myaccount
Gift codes may also be entered during eligible purchase or deposit flows, depending on the gift type.
Who can receive a gift?
Gifts can be sent to recipients age 18 or older. Recipients must also be eligible to play and accept gifts under Michigan Lottery rules.
Does the person I send a gift to need to already have an account?
No. Gifts can be sent to both registered and non-registered recipients. A recipient will need an eligible account to accept and use the gift.
How are gifts delivered?
Gifts can be delivered by email or by PDF. If you choose email, the gift code is sent to the recipient. If you choose PDF, you can download the gift and share it yourself.
Can I send a gift to myself?
No. A player who purchases a gift cannot accept or use their own gift.
What happens when a cash gift is redeemed?
A cash gift is applied to the player account and can be used toward eligible purchases on the platform, subject to applicable rules and restrictions.
What happens when a draw-based game gift is redeemed?
The gifted game is added through the shopping cart flow so the recipient can complete the redemption and activate the gifted game.
Do gifts expire?
Yes. If a gift is not redeemed before its expiration date, it expires and can no longer be used.
What happens if a gift expires?
If an unredeemed gift expires, the gift amount is automatically refunded to the original purchaser's account.
Can I download a gift again later?
Yes. If the gift is still eligible, the PDF version can be downloaded from Gift History: https://www.michiganlottery.com/?neodl=gifthistory
Why is my gift code not working?
A gift code may be invalid, expired, already used, restricted by account status, or unavailable due to location or responsible gaming requirements.
